Vice Presidents
Ron Greig
Ron Greig stood down as Chairman of West at last night's AGM and new Chairman Stuart Murray immediately nominated both Ron and Peter Olsen to become life vice-Presidents. It was a fitting honour for both stalwarts. Ron has led the club through the mess of post-professionalism.

Accountant Peter Olsen has helped the club stay afloat with his solid advice.

Stu Murray told the meeting in Springs that the club could look forward to a better future with real progress being made off the pitch. He presented the latest plans for a clubhouse and ten changing rooms which were only received from the architect last week.

He also told members that agreement had been reached with all parties for the all important 99 year lease for the club to manage Brinkburn on behalf of our partners the Sixth Form College.

The new coaching team were also introduced to members.

Plans for a repeat pre-season friendly against Vale of Lune have been abandones as neither side fancied travelling with a number of players still away on holiday. Its now hoped another match can be set up for August 23.
