No offence to evergreen Mark Baggs but when he has to finish the game playing in the centre you know we have an injury crisis. With both centres off the pitch we went down 42-6... and that was after Carl Robinson pulled a muscle in the warm up and withdrew. Stu Bennett started at prop. bs .

Reports back from East Yorkshire [I wasn't there] are that we were up against it from the start. Peter Hodgson dislocated his shoulder in the second minute and five minutes later Allan Milne limped off with a hamstring injury.

Phil Gilbriath came on at inside centre with Davy Tighe alternating between scrum half an outside centre. He got both of our penalties.

It was a bad tempered game with one 29 man fight in the second half - Stabs was trying to stop it - with yellows for Tones, Thomas and Baggs.
