Durham City came to West under-15s with the reputation of being the most improved side in the county.... but West saw off their challenge without any real difficulty.

West took the game to Durham from the off, and dominated the first half, with Durham rarely getting into West's territory.

Centre Chris Lambert gave West an early lead with a try that was well converted by Tom Dixon. Further tries from scrum-half

Michael Young (a creative individual effort) and winger Stephen Short (a well-worked team move), both converted by Dixon, gave West a deserved 21-0 half-time lead.

In the second half further tries were scored by winger Andrew Robson and back-row

Aaron Myers (with one conversion by Dixon) before Durham at last put West under pressure in the final ten minutes with a series of penalties and scrums in the West 22.

West defended impressively however, and kept their third consecutive clean sheet as they finished 33-0 winners.
