| Sawyer was badly missed during the
game. He'd been on a canoeing course as part of his
teaching duties and arrived at Brinkburn after half-time
to assume duties as a water carrier. He made an excellent speech highlighting the team spirit at the club and his belief that we will more than hold our own on North One next season. Tim narrowly beat Darren Thomas and Brett Cullinane to first place. Dash has had a tremendous first season playing full back and wing as well as his normal scrum half. He has had some tremendous games since Davy Tighe became injured and will be pushing Davy hard next season for the 9 shirt. Brett Cullinane has once again been magnificent. The Kiwi has never given less than 100 per cent for West and has played with a constant neck injury and all sorts of patched up wounds. He has also finally got the recognition he deserves from Durham County. |
