Saturday's home game against Darlington could well be off following the heavy rains of the past week. All of the soccer games planned for the adjoining pitches have already been called off at the request of Hartlepool Sixth Form College.

Coach John Stabler and team manager Dave Ince will be inspecting the pitch on Friday but Ince said: "At the end of the day we have to take notice of what the College say and they are naturally concerned about maintaining the pitches in good condition."

If the game is off it is likely to be played at the end of the month when there is a free day on Saturday January 25th.
