Michael White will be missing from the second row with a a knee injury picked up on Saturday - he will be out for a few weeks.

That means a start for Baggsy alongside Chocky in the second row. The pack remains the same which means that Stu Bennett will be chomping at the bit on the bench.

He still has a niggling back injury and Stabs also picked up a knock at Macclesfield so he would prefer to be on the bench as well - if at all.

But we are seriously short of backs and he may have to play. Gareth Kerr is technically available but he's spending Xmas with his mother in London and its doubtful if he can get back. One other option is a guest player which could be Mick Kent the former Mowden winger who is now strutting his stuff at Consett.

Rovers are having their best season for some time and will be relishing the prospect of a trip across town.

There is no doubt that for some supporters on either side the rivalry is intense as ever. But, at Committee and playing level, there is a strong sense of neighbourliness with a genuine desire to keep this fixture going.

Unfortunately, Michael Walton has a hand injury and won't be facing his "other club" but another West "old boy," the pacy Andrew Lilley, will be at full back. Davy Tighe's younger brother Ben is likely to start on the bench as will another former West junior Andrew Borstwick.

And if if Baggsy can start for West surely Neil Winn can start in the front row for Rovers.

There'll be no shortage of commitment in the back rows where best mates Henry Tones and Mark Power will be sparring against each other. Young Henry has been turning in a few Man of the Match performances and will be keen to show his mates at Rovers how much he has developed in the West side.
