Pilara is in England as part of the international exchange scheme which has seen Tim Sawyer's uncle Dave, and a few other local refs, head off to South Africa.
Let's hope that West cotton on to any differences in interpretation early and play to the ref not to what they think the rule book should be.
We managed it last Saturday when referee Rob Sawyer's [no relation, apparently]interpretation of the tackle rule seemd to be that you had to anticipate the tackle and release the ball almost before it happened! Still he was fair and consistent in the way he applied his version of the rules which is about all you can ask.
Apart from long term injuries to Allan Milne and Mark Thompson, and suspended Stu Bennett, we should have a full squad to choose from including Michael Walton who is due to return from Holland.
It would be unfair to change the side which won so well at Sandal if it wasn't for the fact that Walton is a superb kicker. He is likely to come back in at full back with Phil Cuff moving to centre and Gareth Kerr going onto the wing for either Tommy Barff or Elom Lassey.
