We'd beaten the slope and the Sandal early enthusiasm to lead 8-7 at the break thanks to a great 20 metre run in by Tommy Barff.
Then we went further ahead straight after the resumption as Davy slotted another pen.
They had lots of spirit but when they attacked on our 22 and made mistakes we chose to run the penalties and ended up giving them the ball back.
So despite having three players sin binned to our none they scored the decisive try when their new Aussie fly half Jake Havebond set up winger Peter Froggett.
In many ways this was a much better West peformance but we really have forgotten how to win.
