The Sportsmans Dinner at the Owton Manor Club was organised by John Stabler and the lads and attracted more than 150 to hear Duncan MacKenzie, the former Notts Forest and England footballer.
Frankie Baggs and John Breward from Pools helped organise the event. It featured an auction which Stabs commandeered managing to get very generous bids from the Tones family - among others.
And guess which lucky so and so won the raffle? This is Chocky's week. And for the record I got second prize.
