Chester move up to second with this win over bottom of the table Sandal. They ran in six tries but were only able to convert two of them.
The first try came after just three minutes when second row Paul Campbell went over and it was 12-0 10 minutes later when Gareth Martin scored the first of his first two tries of the day and this time Murray King converted. Ben Brindley then kicked a penalty to get Sandal off the mark but that was the end of their scoring. Late in the first half Martin got his second try, which King converted, for a 19-3 half time lead.
Two minutes into the second half Jim Lyle got the fourth Chester try, his fourth of the season. Centre Geraint Parry got the fifth try and full back Steve Johnson got the final try with still 16 minutes on the clock. For Johnson it was his 8th try of the season, one behind the Division’s leading try scorer.

Driffield 41 (Tries: R Stephenson 3, Black, Dench, Mitchell-Williams. Cons: Black 4. Pen: Black. ) Huddersfield 20 (Tries: Scholes 2, Baxter. Con: Quinn. Pen: Quinn.)
The proverbial match of two halves with the visitors looking winners at half time with a 20-0 lead. They scored three tries with Scholes, playing in the centre instead of his usual back row position, bagging a brace in five minutes towards the end of the half. Earlier in the half second row Baxter got the first try.
Three minutes into the second half Driffield started their fight back when winger Richard Anderson went over for a try, which Michael Black converted. 10 minutes later they were within striking distance when hooker Mitchell-Williams went over and again Black converted. In the 65th minute they were ahead when centre Kyle Dench scored and again Black converted for 21-20 to the home side. In the 70th minute Black got himself a try which he failed to convert but did kicked a penalty a couple of minutes later. In the final few minutes winger Richard Anderson completed a double to give him his hat trick.

West Park St Helens 41 (Tries: Myers 2, C Bibby, S Bibby, Pennington, Gray, Roberts. Cons: G Fletcher 2, Street.) Aspatria 14 (Tries: Dobie, Benson. Cons: Stoddart 2.)
West Park continue their climb up the table with their second successive 41 point haul at home as they defeat Aspatria with a seven try display.
West Park St Helens opened the scoring with a couple of tries from centre Carl Bibby and Tom Gray but Aspatria came back with a converted try from No 8 Derek Benson which Stephen Stoddart converted. By the break though West Park had pulled away with two more tries from flanker Pennington and full back Chris Myers and Street converted one of them with the other three conversions missed.
In the second half the home side pulled ahead with three other tries including a second for Myers, Glen Fletcher took over the kicking and converted two of the three tries. The home side did lose some momentum with a couple of players in the sin bin. Aspatria did manage another try with centre Ryan Dobie.
