Thommo, who is on the way to being Britain's official unluckiest player, is waiting to see a specialist over his injured knee.
After last season's horrific jaw injury against Liverpool St Helens he was looking to this season as the one where his luck changed. He says: "Pre season and at the very beginning I was feeling really fit, but the knee has gone and now I'm waiting to find out how long I'll be out.
Panda Hare is out for the season with his dislocated elbow and shoulder.
Gareth Kerr is needed by the Falcons again this week so John Stabler will have to play with Peter Hodgson in among the backs.
