The only consolation in West's 62-20 thumping at Bedford Athletic is that Rovers also lost by 60 points to Horden! Trouble for our players is that they had to struggle back up the A1 through the snow and blizzards.

Bedford gained ample revenge for their defeat at Brinburn running in tries from their pacy three quarters. Stand in full back Paul Rudd played manfully but we were made to pay for the fact that we are having to play flankers at wing and full back.
