Saturday - Under 15's v County Under 15's Kick off 1.30 p.m.
Saturday - First XV v West Park St Helens Kick off 3.00 p.m.
Saturday - Under 18's v Morpeth Kick off 3.00 p.m
Sunday - West Amateurs v Police XV [Neil Carbro Memorial Match Kick off 1.30 p.m.
The Under 15's provide an interesting warm up match before the North One game. The county wanted a decent game practice game and such is the strength of the Under 15's that they were asked to provide the opposition.
The Under 18's will be in action at the same time as the first XV. Their new league is an excellenet innovation. It starts off with an East and West conference and the half way through the season the teams in the top half of the conferences form one league while the bottom halves form another.
We are hopeful that we will be in the top half. The 18's are a strong squad and benefited greatly from their trip to New Zealand where they were a credit to the town and the club.
They got off to a flying start last week beating Northern Under 18's 42-10.
Sunday's Memorial game for former West player and detective Neil Carbro will fittingly be on the pitch where he learnt his rugby while at the Grammar School.
