| The two clubs are used to facing each other at a higher level, but both will be happy in the knowledge that they'll be in the national leagues again next season. Pedants might point to the fact that Loo are mathematically not yet safe, but the reality is their high number of bonus points has made them secure. The hosts have made a rapid descent in recent years. They have managed to keep a very good core of support, including their vociferous "Boozer's Bank," which will be matched in some part by West's own travelling support who are making a weekend of it in Liverpool. Loo were bolstered by former Wasps front row Shaun Ruwers at the beginning of the season until he had to return to South Africa for family reasons. That may have been a factor in their recent form which has seen them win only one game - at home to Altrincham Kersal - in the last six. | |
| Our away form has also been patchy. Only Lymm have won at Brinkburn this season, albeit in bizarre circumstances, and a better return on our travels would have seen us up in the top four. Instead, we are keen to push on to finish a creditable fifth. A decent points return from Waterloo would go a long way to setting us up for our final two home games. Once again we will be going into the game with a changed side. Liam Bailey is unavailable so club captain Andrew Dixon makes one of his guest appearances while Tom Dixon has temporarily put his passport in the drawer and returns alongside Chocky. |  |
 | Andrew Foreman makes a remarkably quick return to partner Stu Waites [above] after taking that nasty knock to the head courtesy of tackling a player at the same time as Jon Boatman. He's set to take brother Gareth's place who is unlikely to have recovered from his tremendous effort in running five half marathons in five days together with Phil Henderson. The pair had originally intended to run from Hartlepool to Waterloo to raise money for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research to say thanks for the tremendous treatment Mrs Hendo has received. Gareth is in the squad - but whether he figures will depend on how many blisters he has accrued. |
