Beverley Preview

Beverley is always one of the most difficult  away trips of the season - and the fact they are currently bottom of the league won't make it any easier ...

There are no changes in the backs, following last week's  bonus point win over Altrincham Kersal, while in the forwards former Durham County No 8 Craig Gilmour makes his West first team debut after moving over from Horden.

Big Michael Hogan and Ross Wood continue in the front row with Gareth Eddy and Chocky Davies in the second row.

Beverley have been bit by injuries to a number of leading players, but seem confident they can get themselves out of trouble when they have their full complement back.

In recent weeks they've seen influential back row Dave Worrall return while the exotic sounding centre partnership of Sam Atiola and Junior Tupai has been restored.

They managed a two point home victory over Altrincham Kersal, but lost two difficult away trips at Mowden Park and Waterloo and so remain in bottom place with just two victories.

It will be undoubtedly be another hard fought game. We will be looking to continue the recent hard working perfromances into the game in search of another victory which will help widen the gap between the bottom five.

The Stags have a big game at home to CaNDY league leaders Tynedale Raiders and will have Stu Waites, the first team's leading points scorer, at full back and Tom Dixon making his return from injury in the second row.

Firsts: Colin Cheslin, Scott Butcher, Greg Edwards, Luke Watson, Andrew Cheslin, Gareth Foreman, Andrew Foreman, Michael Hogan, Liam Bailey, Ross Wodd, Gareth Eddy, Andrew Davies, Michael Taylor, Dan Boatman [Capt], Craig Gilmour. Reps: Alex Barker, Gavin Robinson, Antony Cameron.

A must win game which playing at our best levek could bring another 5 pointer. Beverley seam to be coming back into some form with returning players so will need full effort and cincentration from start to finish, Good luck as a win should pull us well in amonst the middle group and open up an important gap with the lower teams.
Stags have the opportunity to revenge their away defeat and should not be overawed and can overturn that possibly unlucky defeat. If we can come within 2 points one never knows what the rest of the season can hold!!!
Bucks should be able to keep their impressive record going with their usual spirit and type of game.
Just shows the depth in the club if so many names missing!!! Good luck to everybody today!!!!
