Boatman has now fully recovered from his broken leg and came through a stiff test for the Stags at Tynedale last week. He'll come in at No. 8 in place of Stephen Stockdale who has been suffering from a virus - fortunately he has recovered to take a place on the bench.
In the backs Andrew Foreman is suffering from a back injury so he'll take a rest with brother Gareth taking his shirt, and Stu Waites again stepping in at fly half. Andrew Cheslin takes over at full back.
There's changes on the wings with the hard working Greg Edwards on one flank and Adam Larkin on the other.
They'll face a Chester side which is so far unbeaten. The club seems determined to make it out of this division, after failing in the play-offs last season, and have already beaten closest rivals Birkenhead Park and Mowden Park. The latter's own ambition was shown by the fact they had a representative making copious notes of our rather odd game last week. Not sure that will make sensible reading.
The coaches will be looking to get the season back on track after two disjointed performances against Morley and Lymm. Both were games we could, and perhaps should, have won, but hopefully we will have gained some wisdom from both encounters, and will be able to return to the paterns of play which produced results at Burnage and against Rossendale and Penrith.
