Penrith Preview

Eight points from the first three games is just the kind of return we wanted on our return  to the national leagues - specially when other results show there won't be many easy games in this league this season .

So we find ourselves in sixth place with seventh placed Penrith the visitors for our second home game of the season.

Such is the make-up of N3N this season that the Cumbrians are just about our second closest rivals after Mowden Park.

They have lost two games but have run in eleven tries  managing three bonus points to our nil. In a tight league those bonus points might count for a lot come April 2012 so it would be nice to start acquiring some  - preferably for scoring four tries or more.

Winning is the most important thing and it will be another tough task against the boys from across the A66. They include Anth Carr's brother Glenn in the front row, however our former skipper will have to be content with a place on the bench as his work commitments are hindering his training at the moment.

Tom Dixon is also still away so Chocky and Gareth Eddy continue in the second row. Danny Boatman does return, after missing last week's epic win at Burnage following the birth of his son who is expected to make his own Brinkburn debut on Saturday.

Dan was replaced by Liam Bailey  who moves back to hooker in place of Andrew Dixon who is unavailable.   Incidentally, the former County skipper rates the Burnage front row as the strongest he has ever played against which gives even more credit to the sterling efforts of last week.

The last ditch hero was Stu Waites who slotted an injury time conversion from the touchline to take the four points. He'll be at full back again in a back division which is unchanged.

Need another win tomorrow to build on last week's efforts.
Looking at last season's table you need something like 55 points to gaurantee safety in this league and reaching that target must be our prime objective.
Good luck lads as ever.
