Burnage Preview
Dan The Dad
Skipper Dan Boatman is one of the few players who missed training this week and yet retains his place in the starting line-up. Dan does have the best possible excuse as he became the father of as bouncing baby boy at 6.30 last night  .. congrats from everyone at the club  ...

Victory on the 3G pitch at Burnage would round of a superb week for the new skipper - but it will be no easy task.

The Stockport club joined us in the National Leagues, by virtue of a last ditch try in the play-off at Percy Park, and have won both their games so far this season - significantly beating Beverley 24-0 on their own pitch in the first game of the season.

The club seems to have built itself a nice little set up on the banks of the River Mersey with a nine hole golf course, and canoeing on the river, as well as the multi-sports facility.

We will be without Tom Dixon who is away for a couple for weeks and Chris Atkins.  However, Gareth Eddy is fit again and takes his place alongside Chocky in the second row.

Anth Carr is working away and will have to be content with a place on the bench after being unable to train on the 4G pitch at Dyke House this week. Jon Norris takes his place.

Liam Bailey is also back but he too will have to bide his time on the bench.

The back line is the same one which scored three tries against Rossendale last week. Stu Waites has recovered from a nasty kick on the knee and Colin Cheslin is also fit again to take up a place on the bench.

West: Stu Waites, Scott Butcher, Luke Watson, Gav Robinson, Andrew Cheslin, Gareth Foreman, Andrew Foreman, Jon Norris, Andrew Dixon, Adam Coates, Andrew Davies, Gareth Eddy, Dan Boatman [c], Michael Taylor, Stephen Stockdale. Reps: Liam Bailey, Anth Carr, Colin Cheslin.
