Bill [left] also topped the league last season and modestly admits that he has an advantage because "I know West well but I'm not part of the club so i can take an objective view of whether the team will win or not."
This season he only got one result wrong - predicting we would win at Northern in the very last game. He was presented with his West mug by West Hon Sec Geoff Hainsworth at an informal soiree at Horden's club last night which included their current President Jonty Groves.
Jonty, a former West player as well, of course, retires from Cleveland Police today and we wish him a long and happy retirement.
