Wheatley Hills Preview
Skipper
Dan Boatman takes over as skipper from injured brother Jon as we look to keep the promotion push going at Wheatley Hills. Liam Bailey is the man to take on Jonny's No 7 shirt ...

It is a just reward for Danny, who has had a tremendous season, though there's no doubt he would have much preferred to have his brother still captaining the side alongside him.

In the backs Stu Waites keep his place on the wing. He stepped in at Carlisle last week for the unwell Darren Thomas and also managed to kick a couple of goals. Otherwise it is pretty much as expected.

With three games to go we are in the happy position of knowing that a haul of seven points will guarantee promotion. Getting them  against Wheatley Hills, Cleckheaton and relegation threatened Northern will require more of the grit the team has show in recent encounters against Driffield and Carlisle

Wheatley Hills showed at Brinkburn that they will be difficult opposition. It was a game they needed to win to keep their promotion hopes alive, and  it was certainly a full on encounter with Hills losing out in the closing minutes, mainly because they'd had two men sent off after a mass brawl.

In No 8 Gaz Burns they have the league's try scorer and they also possess a lively set of backs. The game at Brinkburn was played in a mudbath, but hopefully both sides will be able to play some flowing rugby in the sunshine promised for Doncaster.

Carl Robinson comes as front row cover with  Carl Miller and Peter Hodgson on the bench.

West: Colin Cheslin, Andrew Cheslin,Luke Watson, Gavin Robinson, Stu Waites, Gareth Foreman, Andrew Foreman, Jon Norris, Andrew Dixon, Adam Coates, Andrew Davies, Tom Dixon, Dan Boatman [capt], Liam Bailey, Stephen Stockdale. Reps: Carl Miller, Carl Robinson, Peter Hodgson. [Meet 11.30. Number 1s, Bring any overdue match fees please].
