Now we're off to Woodhead and its sloping pitch [from side to side] with more enforced changes. Scott Jordan is still suffering from the shoulder injury which earned him an early exit against Northern. Gareth Foreman  is being rested, to allow his ankle in jury to recover, and Paul Rudd is also being rested following his back injury.

Stu Waites, who had an excellent game at Morpeth, comes back and will be at fly half with Darren Thomas dropping into the full back slot.

Scott Butcher returns on the wing while Adam Howard finally gets his chance to start a game. He comes in for Paul Rudd who has had an outstanding start to the season.

They'll face an Old Brods side which has made a very solid start in North One East. They just managed to avoid relegation last season, but have learnt from the experience and, out of four away games so far this season, have picked up wins at Northern and Driffield,. In their two home games they have beaten Yorkshire rivals Old Crocs and Pontefract.

Brods' two defeats were on the road - at Percy Park and a 41-10 thumping at Team Northumbria last week. They're a youngish side, with a mobile pack and the intention to get the ball out wide, and will be looking to get last week's defeat out of their system by beating the league leaders.

By the same token, the West coaching team are looking to get last week's relatively poor show out of our system. On paper a win and another bonus point was a great return, but it didn't impress Messrs Oliphant, Sawyer and Hardy leading to a dressing room inquest at the end of the game.

The pack will be unchanged with the exception of Howard for Rudd. In the backs Peter Hodgson moves inside to allow for the return of Colin Cheslin.
