Club Signs Historic Lease
The club and the Sixth Form College have signed an historic lease which guarantees West a home at Brinkburn for the next 50 years. It's a deal which is of major benefit to both sides and allows the club to invest in the site.
Les Smith adds his signature to the lease watched by elder statesmen Reg Turner  and Dave Stubbs

The lease means that for the next 50 years at least West will be able to call Brinkburn its home,

It covers all four existing rugby pitches, the football pitch alongside the hedge as well as the land on which the existing clubhouse and car park sit.

Most importantly it means the club can now plan to develop the clubhouse. The RFU, for instance, will not provide any kind of grants unless a lease of at least 25 years is in place.

Club Chairman and Treasurer Peter Olsen says: "Signing this lease with our partners the Sixth Form College is one of the most important events the club has ever witnessed.

"Brinkburn is a superb location, better in many was than Brierton Lane, and now it is up the whole club to get together to start raising funds so we can develop the site to its full potential."
