It promises to be an excellent finale to the season. The purists will be unhappy that the traditional Wednesday night has been forsaken, but the game should attract a big Bank Holiday crowd and put some money over Tech's bar.
The Stags have already won the CaNDY league- retaining the Pyman in the trophy cabinet will bring season 2008-2009 to a more than satisfactory end for the whole club.
Horden will once again provide stern opposition. Last season's final betwen the two clubs was a hard fought affair, with the Stags coming out on top 24-19, and Horden have also enjoyed an excellent season in the CaNDY.
Stags Coach Graeme Southern is able to bring back some members of his County Cup winning Under 18's including full back Scott Jordan.
The contribution that "Sos" and his fellow coaches have made this season has been tremendous with the Stags, Bucks and 18's all having superb seasons. The future looks bright.
