Ionians will find a West side made of players anxious to stake a claim for a jersey for the visit of Middlesbrough in the first league game next month.
There's genuine competition for places right across the squad with plenty of effort and skill on show last Saturday.
Both Iain Dixon and Jamie Connolly showed their class, with some fine finishing, but there were some lively performances from a whole host of players including coach Tim Sawyer. Sadly, his comeback will be further hindered by a minor operation on his other knee - scheduled for later this week.
Ionian's visit will be followed by Steve Black's training session. It'll be held at Brinkburn on Thursday August 28th.
