Just when you thought it was all over! Anth Carr has been given the honour of choosing a select XV to take on Hartlepool RFC in their annual President's day game on Sunday. [Mayfield Park Kick off 3.00} And there will be a few West players in his line-up.

Given Hartlepool's storming success this season together with West's promotion it should make for an interesting game.

Jamie Connolly [now Mowden], Chris Sainty and Michael Taylor [both Rovers] bolster a line-up which otherwise looks pretty much like a West first team with only the Boatmans, Davy Tighe, Peter Hodgson and Neil Howe unavailable.
