The game will provide a more than useful work out for both clubs who are both focusing on an exciting finish to the season. Both are top of their leagues on 30 points but have some big games coming up.
Billingham also come with a very handy set of backs who will give our defence a good test - ideal preparation to face Driffield's pacy back line next week.
Darren Thomas returns at full back, in place of Gavin Painter, while Craig Swales gets his chance on the wing. The youngster came on against Rovers earlier in the season and showed some classy touches.
The winner of this game will face either Horden or Durham City at home on March 22nd. That throws up the intriguing prospect that we could be playing City in the cup one week before we face them in a vital league encounter. Similarly, if we then beat City, we could face Rovers in the Cup Final a week before the final league game between the two sides. That game could decide some important issues for both clubs!
But that is all a long way off.
