Chocky Davies is still waiting to be a dad for the third time but is back in the team to face Old Crocs at Brinkburn [kick off 2.15]. He's joined by Gavin Painter, who also missed last week's defeat, instead playing for English Colleges in their defeat by their Welsh counterparts.

After being originally selected at stand off, Gavin found himself relegated to the bench but came on for the last 20 minutes at full back.

Hopefully, he and Chocky will be raring to go in a must win game. The side is further bolstered by the news that Dan Boatman is fit, after his nasty knock last week, but Henry Tones will be out for some weeks with a broken bone in his hand.

That means a reshuffle in the back row where Paul Rudd takes on the No 8 shirt with the Boatmans on the flanks.

With the exception of Painter, the backs stay the same and will be hoping to produce the same sort of start which flattened Pontefract in the last home game.

Crocs come in a similar mid-table position to Ponte. They lost five in a row, until overcoming Aldwinians in a hard fought encounter in Halifax last week. They will still be eager for two more wins which should see them safe from any trouble in the relegation dogfight.

Our two Cumbrian defeats have created a similar sense of excitement at the top of the league with some big games to come.
