Darren Thomas comes back in to the side as a more than able replacement for Gav Painter who is playing fly half for English Colleges against Wales.
Nineteen year old Scott Butcher also becomes the latest young Westie to make it up to the first team squad. The winger cum centre will be on the bench, after some excellent displays for the Stags, who are also on the coach as they take on Carlisle IIs.
On paper both West sides should start favourites after big wins against their respective Carlisle opposition at Brinkburn. The firsts rattled in more than 60 points but the Carlisle side was much weakened that day.
They have won five games so far this season and are third bottom, just one point behind Rovers and two behind Old Crocs who visit Brinkburn next weekend.
We will be looking for another solid start to the game. We were slow out of the blocks at Aspatria, and spent the rest of the game almost catching up. We put matters right against Pontefract only to have a snooze shortly after half time. As the promotion battle hots up Tim Sawyer will be demanding a full 80 minutes from his troops.
