Work has already begun preparing the site for the arrival of three new portacabins at the end of the week. They have been donated once again by Chris Musgrave and were part of the same development at Wynyard which has already provided a smart new function suite for the club.
Redcar rugby club had taken possession of the three additional units - but have decided they don't need them so they're on their way to Brinkburn.
They will be attached to the north side of the main building, alongside the player's entrance, and will be converted into changing rooms mainly for the youngsters.
Chairman of Rugby Les Smith is once again acting as "project manager" with tremendous help from Ian Butler.
Les says: "We were offered the units at the weekend and had no hesitation in accepting them.
"We have already shown what can be done with these types of units. The new function suite is busy every weekend as well as on matchdays during the season.
"Now our most pressing need is for extra dressing rooms on Sunday morning, but it will also allow us to stage three senior games on a Saturday. It would mean the Firsts, Stags and the Amateur's could all be at home on the same day."
The club will now be looking to raise funds to convert the units. The RFU last week provided a £5,000 grant towards the five figure cost of converting the original nine units.
