Tippit Goes Ahead at Athletic

The big Tippit game to decide who will host the Boxing Day derby this year will go ahead at Athletic on Thursday at 8.00 p.m. Both sides have picked their teams but are playing their cards close to their chests but don't be surprised to see the slippery Parkinson and Stubbs playing for West.

Sadly for Rovers the edge has been taken off the occasion by the death of club stalwart, and well known local personality and flag raiser, Ernie Dring.

Ernie's funeral will take place on Friday morning.
