There again the Cheslins aren't renowned for more formal training. But they both have lots of talent, and on Saturday Colin gets another of his rare opportunities to impress - this time on the wing.
With the likes of Peter Hodgson, Martin Todd, Danny Weegram, Neil Howe and Chris Lambert all missing for reasons of injury, work, or impending flights to Australia both Colin and Gav Robinson come into the side which travels to Billingham in the Durham Intermediate Cup.
Mikey Young has gotten over his cold and returns at scrum half with Davy Tighe back at 10.
Henry Tones makes a very welcome return to first team action after his long lay-off with his shoulder injury. He claims he has recovered, but has the strangest looking right shoulder. If he invites to have a feel of his collar bone I suggest you take a deep breath first. He'll start on the bench with Carl Miller coming into the back row in place of Jonny Boatman, who has been struggling with a knock or two for the past few weeks.
Otherwise, it's the same pack which struggled against Rovers last week. They'll be looking to step up a gear and deny the much fancied Billingham backs some decent possession.
This season the cup competition is in two tiers with Westoe, Mowden, Darlington and Blaydon having their own bit of fun. Whether this move has devalued the County Cup we will no doubt find out over the next few weeks or so. With the RFU wanting dialogue on how the game can be restructured this may be a competition too far - with clubs preferring more clubs in every league.
