The game never really got going and was marred by two bizarre sendings off. Minutes into the second half Sheffield's hooker was dismissed for a second yellow card after a fairly innocuous looking infringement at a ruck. But if he was unlucky to be given his marching orders West talisman Aaron Myers was even more so when he saw his second yellow after being judged offside.
The hosts led for periods either side of half time but were eventually beaten when Chocky Davies gallopped in with around 15 minutes to play.

West return from Yorkshire with a win following a strange old game at Sheffield. West took their chances well and tries from Carr, Hare, Jon Boatman and stand-in captain Chocky Davies plus 4 Moss conversions got the job done.
