Depleted Squad Heads For Lancaster
Could Be Back
Half a dozen West players are taking the chance for a last Saturday off before we get down to business in the Powergen play off against Westoe. Davy Tighe, Tim Sawyer and Carlo Robinson are among the cry-offs for the trip to Vale of Lune.

The Lancastrians are effectively one league below us so it should be a decent work out and the chance for a few of the lads to stake a claim for a starting place against Westoe.

Darren Thomas will be grateful for the rare chance to play in his favourite position of scrum half. His performances in all sorts of other positions last season were nothing short of heroic, and he'll be out to impress the boss who is again at No 10. Jamie Connolly is still saving himself for the "big time" after his cartilage op.

But young Henry Tones could be back after straining his knee ligaments in training.

Frankie Coulson is likely to start at full back with Tomyy Barff on one wing and Andrew Hare on the other. Nick Prest makes a welcome return to the club and will start at prop alongside Brett Cullinane and Mark Cholmondeley.
