Henry Tones, as ever, has been chomping at the bit on the sidelines thanks to the in-form Boatmans, as well as the arrival in senior rugby of the mercurial Aaron Myers. Aaron did not predict his own first team success and had promised to join a stag party in Amsterdam way before the fixtures were even announced.But in Henry we had the perfect replacement. That was until he stretched for a ball in training on Thursday night and promptly snapped his shoulder causing serious ligament damage as well as tghe fracture. He was in some pain and quickly despatched to hospital for the full diagnosis. Henry has almost as many mates among the Rovers players as he has at West and he will have everyone's best wishes for a speedy return.

Carl Miller steps up from the bench to play in his favoured back row with a late decision to be made on who comes onto the bench.

In the front row Jon Norris is the man to step down for Brett's experience. The teenage prop has played superbly over the past couple of weeks, allowing Brett to come on as a second half impact player, but this week the roles will be reversed.

Otherwise, it's the same line up which gives wingers Chris Lambert and Gavin Painter the opportunity to continue to weave their magic, and Paul Moss the chance to emulate his last second match winning exploits.

Whether we will see the expansive rugby demanded by the coaches may depend more on the weather [the forecast is not good] than the fact that it is a derby.

Most importantly there are two points at stake. Despite some curate's egg displays, we have managed to get ourselves up to third while Rovers have won only one game - against a Durham City side which clearly has not put in the hard work in pre-season. But Rovers have also faced the likes of Sheffield Tigers, and have only just received their annual complement of travelling Kiwis who, by all accounts, have certainly strengthened the side.

With the front row and the Boatmans in fine form, plus pace out wide, we are favourites to win on our own patch. But we said that last year when Rovers just about earned a win despite getting away with a blatant try-saving trip on Allan Milne.
