Team for City
Recovered
West's coaches are certainly not afraid to give youth it's head. Teenage prop Jon Norris replaces Brett Cullinane in the side to take on Durham City at Brinkburn [Kick off 3.00] while Gav Painter - son of a famous West prop - comes onto the wing in place of Andrew Hare.

Aaron Myers will start the game despite limping off at Old Crossleyans last week with a tight hamstring and a cut head. He made the England Under 19s trials this week and came through last night's training session.

Henry Tones will once again have to be content witn a start on the bench but, with the Boatmans in excellent form, the back row is one area where pressure for places can only be good for the team.

The same can be said of fly half where Paul Moss again gets the nod ... with his good mate Phil Wallis breathing down his neck after more than competent performances as a replacement.

The coaches have not been happy with either of the performances so far this season and will be looking to the side to take the game plan into the opening quarter.

On the face of it City come to Brinkburn in the unexpected position of underdogs having lost their first two games including to Driffield at Hollow Drift last week.

But their ine up features a good number of the players who put us to the sword at their place last season with veteran Darren MacKinnon stll running the show and the likes of full back James Walker keeping the points board ticking over.
