| But Toddy and Co will be the first to admit
that its the team off the pitch who have been putting the hard
work in this week. Chairman of Rugby Les Smith and the ever
dependable Ian Butler have done a tremendous job in sorting out the
nine portacabins from Samsung.
Together with some willing helpers the cabins are all in place and we will soon be asking for volunteers to make them shipshape. Hopefully, they will be open in some form for the Rovers game next month. They will have their own entrance and provide a very large function room, ladies, gents and disabled toilets and a very much needed large kitchen. |

with the exception, of course, of Danny Weegram.
He has turned up for the start of both sessions this week nursing his broken arm, broken collarbone and three broken ribs! As a self-employed carpet fitter it's a mega blow to Danny but he can rely on the support of the club. |
| Phil Wallis and Henry Tones are the unlucky men on the bench after excellent displays when they came on last week including a superb tried for Wallah. Carl Miller is also champing at the bit and competition for places this season is already acute ... good news for coaches and supports if a little frustrating at times for some of the lads. |
| The trip to Halifax will be a step into the unknown although we got a hint of the strength of the new boys when they overcame Morpeth 46-24 in Halifax last week. Morpeth are never an easy side to beat although catching them at harvest time sometimes helps. |
| Old Crocs as they call themselves have been
bolstered by the arrival of Tongans
Nefetalai Fusita and
Frazer Maiatonga. Not quite sure where they play as the Old Crocs
website goes in more for humour than rugby. Dave Stubbs and Co will be more concerned with how we stick to the game plan. Despite last week's victory the west coach was far from euphoric and has spent this week ironing one or two things out. Still if you can win when you are not playing your best ....... |

Great Week For West
