what about the ball not "appearing" to go ten for the bucks third try? lets have a bit of un biased matchreporting, will make a change from the usual in the local rag

Jimmy you could put that scrum in your achievement book next to three balls against the head in a west rovers derby!

If FRLE and Ruprett are so unhappy with Craig's match report, why don't they write their own!

Numpties! :oD

not un happy at all was a good read but just giving the lad a few pointers as surely the most pivotal point of the match was worth a mention!

Pete passed a ball?

Must have fumbled it and someone managed to catch it, surely?

Craig may have been of the impression that it went 10 metres, he may not have seen that it may not have gone 10 metres. Craig from what I know of him is a decent chap and will tell it as it is or as he saw it.

Come on a bit of home bias is the norm.

Bleeding heck we (the Ams) scored a length of the pitch try last week and Stocktons report blames their own player rather than our own good work. Its the way it is.

Played in this game and in a previous post read that west forwards where beaten by the Hartlepool pack. Couple of things that need to be taken into consideration here. 1- the hpool pack was much bigger and more experienced! 2- we had SOS playing prop which isn't his natural position (whatever people may think haha).

I thought that the west pack where a lot more skillfull, hardworking and dealt with the physicality well! We dominated lineouts! The only place we struggled was in the scrums and 1 or 2 mauls, which was expected with the size difference.

Good performance in the backs too looked good going forward and defended well.

Just wanted to clear this up,

Thanks

A bit harsh to say Stocktonians did not give credit to the Ams in the
" length of the pitch " try.

I think our website states that "it owed just as much to Paul Armstrong's vital contribution as the Ams" - it was meant to indicate about a 50-50 split .

I have to tell you that our man unanimously received the " Dick of the Day" award from his team mates for chipping that ball back infield in his own 22 when he was 5 metres from touch with the Ams bearing down on him from their kick ahead.

I'm afraid his Fijian-like impulses to keep the ball alive momentarily got the better of him. He played a darn sight more sensibly for you in the second half than he did for us in the first.

But once again it was good game , played in a good spirit . And what a try at the end for Graham (a natural tight head, who needs Karlos?) , ploughing thru another vet , Davey Turner, to score, so there was about 100+ years in a bedraggled heap at the final whistle .

One thing Hartlepool 2nds & The Ringers learnt the hard way is that there shud be a plan B over and above the blood and guts, aggresive, intimidating forwards play. Good game and Hartlepool 2nds are a far better team than the Ringers

OOOps sorry.

Well it was a BUCKing good try by the Ams.

He desreved D.O.T.D. Have re-read the report (Stocktons) and it seems fair and accurate.

Wasnt trying to diss, just pointing out that everyone reports on what they see.

I was involved in the making of the try and cannot remember a thing about it other than being pickled after it.

Jimmy, what planet are you on? You lost...get over it

The Ams game was played totally in the right spirit and thanks to Stockton. Your a true credit to Rugby!!

I thought young Quinn's try was a good one...and his first, well done!! (Proud Dad)!!
