Well done to everyone involved with the WHRFC, especially the players, not just for yesterdays results (3 victories without a try conceded) but for an outstanding opening month to the season which has seen the Firsts, Stags and Bucks unbeaten.

It will be a tall order to match, nevermind better, September's results but we must all try our upmost to do so.

It's amazing what people within a club which doesn't own it's own land and with portacabins for a clubhouse can achieve with a bit of hard work and determination. Didn't even mind having to celebrate with a can of lager.

Training Tuesday for all players and coaches.

Tim

Another top report Pedro, and I couldn't agree with with what Tim S has added.
However, in your first sentence you say West are clear of P Park at the top ... not in my league table they aren't. In fact, they are level, but PP are top with a better points difference.

Depends which league table your looking at!

The league table on here aint been updated with yesterdays results. We got another Maximum point haul yesterday where as P Park didnt, thus making us top by a point

I looked at the one on rugby roundup site.
I also missed out the word "more" with ref to Tim's comments. Oops.

Rovers match report states:

"Stephen Stockdale scored West's last try to give the home side a points advantage they didn't really deserve."

Anyone else find that a totally bizarre statement? :oD

More importantly...

Best wishes to Mash.
Get well soon.

I've now looked at a proper league table on the RFU site instad of a joke one and apologise for trying to correct Pedro when I should know he always gets it right.
It's great to see West top and for all three teams to be unbeaten ... what a start to the season for the club, and how good to see the portakabins buzzing after the derby win.

Plop, I think he's referring to the margin, rather than the result. And he IS biased as he's a Rover.

Well said TS - Although still a long way to go, we couldn't have wished for a better start to the season for all teams and the club as a whole.

Any news on Gareth's ankle injury - looked to be in some pain after the game.
Hope all goes well and a speedy recovery.

He manages to play 50 minuites on it which may not have been the best treatment. If it had been any other game but Rovers he would probably have come straight off.

Decent performance on the day and its nice to see the forwards getting among the tries.

Thought Rudd was Man of the Match.

Wasnt at the game but SCH may well have a point. The teams West have beaten are not exactly setting the league on fire. Cleckheaton and Carlisle have only won one game. City started well but have faded quickly and Rovers are obviously the league's whipping boys this season.
Perhaps a certain second row is regretting his decision to move during the summer.

Sorry my mistake. Carlisle have lost all 4 of their games so far

where are the " big Yorkshire packs of the speedy students " in the league ??? , winning breeds confidence so i don`t think the lads have anyone to be scared of , i don`t think the west pack has been to shabby up to now so will probably hold thier own against most teams and the backs certainly have speed and strength , so all in all a great start , much better at this end of the league table i think most will agree.

Big Yorkshire packs ... like Cleckheaton?
Percy Park away at the end of Oct will be a big game.

If you believe the rovers site they managed to hold their own for most of the matches against against percy park and team northumbria before falling further behind towards the end of the match. Also, City beat Northumbria the week before we beat them, so I can't see how the current results would suggest that those teams are any better than West. I'm not saying they'll be easy games for us, they wont but SCH has got nothing to back up his statement.
