Think the whole Tall Ships weekend is starting.
Drove through Costa-Del-Seaton / Church Street / Marina Way and its busy busy.
Mayfair Car park is full of camper vans.
Loads of cars looking lost (in left hand lane and turn right at Asda roundabout).
If your a Monkey hanger :-
Order your Sat night indian tonight and freeze.
Send your lass out shopping today
Fill the fridge with beer
Anymore good idea's
PS - ironically there is a Tall Ship off the coast as we speak

One more tip.
If you have a car dont move it.
The muppets at the council have forgotten a full grove (about 20 metres from their park and walk rip off thing) so if I move my car the chances are I wont be able to get back in.
I did tell the council i had a tow truck at the ready.
I hope the weather forecast stays true and it rains on their parade.

Not very nice that BA. I for one am pleased that the town has attracted such a big event and hope lots of people come and spend lots of money with local businesses.

One way or another we have a lot of West people involved in helping make it a success including club secretary Geoff Hainsworth "embedded" in a Tall Ship, as we speak!

I was down there earlier today and watched 3 come though the lock gates. It was a good atmosphere with everyone clapping the crew as they sailed by. Judging by today being really packed down there, God help them on the weekend as it will be rammed to the hilt!!

I am all for the business's making a bit of cash.
What rankles is the arrogance of the people within the council about parking arrangments.
Also whats the big deal? You can go to the marina anyday of the week and look at boats.
P.S I am strawberry blond. :-))
One more thing. Whilst on the subject of things. What is the Mayor paid to do exactly? Eat kebabs?

Thank god Karl isnt Mayor, we'd have to triple his salary just for him then triple it again for all his kids.
P.S dont get me wrong, I hope it all goes well, only peeved about the parking. Where is the Wife meant to park after her shifts dealing with sea sick sailors? The council give you no answers, just say tough.

HBC have to generate revenue to try to cover the cost of organising the whole event. You only have to look around town and down at the marina to see that it must have cost a fortune to arrange.
Unless of course, HBC make all the parking free and we have to pay for it in our Council Tax.
So a no-brainer. They have to charge a good whack!
