Pyman Cup

I spoke to Seaton Last Night and they are in a county cup game on wednesday so the pyman cup game is on 29th April next Wednesday

Surely they could cry off Billingham 2nd team and play it at the weekend?

it would be the better idea of the two to play it on saturday like, quite a few of the lads will have to get time off work or switch shifts for an extra to try and play in the game, surely playing it on saturday would be better

That is a perfectly reasonable reason not to play, it was just a thought

Was just thinking that - has this been cleared by the competition organisers?

Seaton not have a 2nd Team like? It would make sense to play them rather than have to re-arrange the rest of the competition. After all it is a 2nd team competition and before people say they can field their 1st team because of their league position blaa blaa, they could put out the best available team that night.

Just a thought as i'm not sure if the organisers will put it back a week

Kick SC out of the competition and give West a bye to the final ... easy see!!!

It could be good nights for both home teams. Supporters from the Town can now see both games and create a great atmosphere. As for kicking Seaton out of the competition give your head a shake.

What about playing the Final on the 2nd of may I cannot see the Horden fixtures but it appears all other teams have a free week.

I am sure it would attract a big bank holiday weekend crowd if the two team involved are agreeable.

Its not seatons fault that barnard castle had to re-arrange the cup game for wednesday night, and if the ath or boys brigade had a second team would anyone tell them to play thier seconds in the pyman? No.

I think this needs to be communicated clearly by the organisers as soon as possible.

Another thing that springs to mind that I'm not sure is relevant in this scenario is whether or not RFU insurance covers games played after May 1st for a District tournament?

I see Horden beat Heughers last night.
So now for the Stags to get past Seaton on the 29th.

FRLE - Are you thinking of M/J rugby there? Last day for M/J rugby is always "May Day" Bank Holiday (3rd this year). Don't think the same applies to Senior rugby.

Smuddger seems like a good idea to play the game on the 2nd of may helps a lot of lads who have work commitments and so on.
