If its not 1 thing to winge about its another. Getting bloody sick of all this petty bickering. Think its about time some people shut the #### up and started pulling together for the benifit of the future of the club..:-!

We all live behind the Park (Ward Jackson ) and drink in the Cricket Club Pikey.

We don't associate with any of the riff raff you mention (or any other form of riff raff) - but saying that, I am replying to a pastie eating soap dodger so I am contradicting my self.

One must dash now - tally ho !!

PS - Happy Twocking

I don't think anyone is suggesting you shouldn't have kids at the club, but they should never be unsupervised, and supervision means they sit next to their parents quietly, not running about the place whilst their parents drink which is a problem I have seen at many clubs. Children under 12 have no place being at the club after 6pm, it's an adult environment and theiur parents should not bring them there; you wouldn't take a kid to the pub would you?

It's a society problem; some parents need to buck theiur ideas up; it's not fair to children to have them bored at a bar, you had kids, take an interest in them. Don't just drag them along to the rugby club and make them wait around whilst you have a few drinks. Bring them to the game, bring them in for 20 minutes to have a soft drink and then take them home.

Sorry smurray; the schoolteacher in me comes out in these debates; I spend all week dealing with the ignored yet overindulged offspring of feckless idiots and it riles me what some parents think is acceptable.

The strange thing is, this thread is really long, but everybody as far as I can see is in agreement; that kids are welcome at appropriate times as long as they are being properly supervised and that parents shouldn't abuse the safe environment and good nature of the rugby club and its members as a holding area whilst they get drunk!

I will hapily bring the Children catcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang with me when we visit in April to round up any children running feral round your portakabins!
