WPA

Why are u kicking up a stink about chits?

It's not as if it has been kept quiet or anything and they have been given out since the start of the season.

I would also like to point out that yes players do get 3 each but not all of them get used. For example some people will only have one and then drive home etc..

And without wanting to open up another can of worms what's wrong with a rugby club giving out a few beer chits to players it happens in just about every rugby club in the country.

Dave, I am not that bothered if we do or do not get a pool table I merely gave my opinion that it is a good idea. If those in charge decide against it then that is fine by me. However, could someone please inform me exactly where the weak floors are so that i dont stand next to Chummers or Karlos and end up with 2 broken legs after crashing through the floor!
This debate seems to be getting a bit closer to what is really bothering some people. As a Bucks player this season it was nice to receive a few chits after a home game and i know it makes the lads feel valued in someway. If at somepoint the club said 'sorry we cant do it anymore' then i dont think anyone would be bothered cos its not why we play!!!!!

I don't honestly think he was trying to kick a stink up, i think he was unaware this was happening and just needed explaining to him. :)

My God i should be in a War Zone as a Peace Maker!!! :oD:oD:oD

Yes we do chits in the Goldmine.

You can buy a plate of them on their own or with some gravy, or for a bit extra you can get a bun and have a chit butty!

Wow what a thread!
Just reading it now and I've got so much sense to spout!
I happen to agree that the weak floor argument is tosh!
A 7ft slate bed pool table weighs 250kgs so divided by 4 that equals 62.5kgs (ie 4 legs).
Smurry you weigh far more than that!
Even allowing for floor flexibility the reasonable assumption is to have a table in on a trial basis ( We can reinforce the floor just like we did in the gym which now has to take vastly increased weights).
As to the gambling machine - I have to admit I am firmly against this for a variety of reasons. I could look at this from the inappropriate minors view point but the practical burglars view would out weigh it in my view (ie if its there they will have go and if they can't they will cause some damage).

I do take an issue with the assumption that a committee system equals a democratic system. This is simply not true. It is an oligharchic system where rule is by a few (now that may be by the few who volunteer, but it is not democratic).

Somebody mentioned about going on committee to have a whinge, unfortunately these old people need to understand that the internet is giving the facility for people to do their 'whingeing' and that this is the future!

Karlos's comment about certain people embarassing themselves is rather astute!

As to the argument that the Ams "do nothing for us" - I would really like to do a seperate thread on this on the lines of Monty Python.

Again there was a mention of membership and how some people are and some arent. Lets get thing straight - if some one isnt a member of a club then its a failure of the management.

Yours in earnest..... Chris

Its the fact that the floor flexes like mad.

A bit like Karlos!! :oD:oD:oD
Would a metal plate on the floor not help to ditribute the weight?
