I find this thread very worrying as people dont appear to be pulling in the same direction anymore.
First of all, i personally think a pool table is a good idea and the notion that the floor wont hold one is ludicrous. We had a pool table at brieton lane and it was constantly in use. I dont think a gambly is feasible due to the juniors!
I also know that a lot of West lads drink in the Cricket club on a regular basis (myself included). Rather than brand these lads disloyal, why doesn't someone ask themselves why we go elsewhere for a drink?
It seems quite obvious to me that there are a lot of people that have become a bit disillusioned of late and even cheesed off! I have spoke to several peole about this so to ignore it would be foolish. I dont really know where this bad feeling is coming from but if it is not addressed it will just get worse!

Poor Karlos has opened a can of worms here.

I agree with Oldge on this one, Although an Am have always been a Westie, and there is a lot of excellent work being done but some people need to get of their high horses and stop thinking they are better than others.

As for the lights it is good to see That DP can see some use for them, and if still wanted I'll get onto no name mentioned Ams player to see about the outdoor lights, but he maybe a bit busy with seven to on his hands. Who on earth would be mad enough to father children to him, as much as like him they must be mad.

Quinny Love Spuds. You are on the House Committee so why not turn up for a meeting and then you can have your say in the proper place and avoid stirring things up on here.
Anyone who has approached me as Chairman of the House Committee has been fully informed of the reasons for the recent price rise plus the fact that we are tied to one particular brewery at the moment which gave the club a very good deal. That brewery has its own beers and lagers.
Oldge. Where do you want your pool table? In front of the main bar cos that's the only floor which is currently suitable.
Also we have vacancies for members of the House Committee at the moment so would welcome any representative of the players.

Broken Army. Its not a question of being on a high horse by me or any of the other board members/committee members on this thread.
It's a question of being elected, attending meetings, doing all sorts of daft jobs and then getting constant stick from people who can't see beyond the bottom of their pint glass.

dave. oldges comments arnt just about the pool table. and you know it . so dave why did the beer prices go up ? was it to pay the players who travel down to west to play and then go straight home cos there driving so do not even put any of there money back behind the bar? just a guess?

My comment wasnt directed at you Dave.

I had my say last year at the Ams comittee meating and that was that as far as I'm concerned.

I appreciate a lot of time and effort go into the running of the club and everyone (I presume) appreciates that, just some peoples attitudes. Yeah you will probably think my attitude wrong as well but I dont care.
