Maybe it's cheaper and safer for the company to store them on other peoples property.

What "bods" would these be then Quinny?
You mean the "Usual Suspects"?
We have ran out of willing volunteers, as you can only ask someone to do so much for free, which also impedes on their time.
I haven't seen many Ams muck in over the years getting their hands dirty.
Seen lots of talk, but little action!!

West Girl, are you serious??? I have not heard anything so stupid in my life!!!

Whatever Brian..... i agree about the usual suspects but maybe need to speak to some of the players. Regarding the Ams, there aint a lot of us left and we do give up our time when we can!!! I work away and my time at home actually is important but still give every Sat afternoon up to make sure the Ams keep getting a team out. The likes of Wilkie runs about all week sorting stuff out for us as well but is unseen work as it were!

It's just a thought but in these strange financial times it's possible.

Say a company has 50 fruit machines sitting on their properties not making any money - cos no-one wants the hassle of them any more. The company has to pay for the storage, the insurance, the security etc they are out of pocket.

But if they get pubs/clubs to take them at no expense they provide shutters etc and get a 10% cut they no longer have to pay storage, insurance, secutiry etc.

Well Bri as for the Ams not doing anything for the club!!!

Right, poker night held the other week, who was it who profited from the bar takings?

After last Weekend match against Seaton did we stay down there and have a pint? (no we didnt we came straight back to spend money in the club, Wrongly in my opinion could have had a pint at Seaton but was prepared on the assumption we were at home.

and the whole point of this thread was to raise money for the club, which was started by an Am. DOH!!!!!!

Bet the dark side are splitting their sides in laughter.

The annoying bit for me is how this became a "the Ams do nothing for the club and lets slag them off". Madness - utter madness.

Wait till the judge (WPA) gets back - some one is going to get knocked out.

I can assure Karlos and Love Spuds that this was discussed at the last House Committee meeting which was the democratic way to do it .
As Love Spuds is a member of the Committee he will be receiving a set of minutes in due course.

Well, top work there, Spuds! You stir up a little hornet's nest very well. What happened to your homilies on the lines of '..this sort of thing is best discussed face to face and not on a message board?'

Stan!!! I am hurt by this posting!! All i did was support a good Ams player who's heart is in the right place. Ok he aint the brightest or best looking but he will always lend a hand wherever needed and i felt i had to support him in this as it needed bringing to the public forum.
I totally agree somethings are best said face to face and in the right place but poor Karlos needed supporting on this one! :oP
