alright lads
this year our christmas p*** up will be a bit different to usual as we are gonna head out of hartlepool for the day.
provisional plan is to meet at lloyds bar at about 11:30 for a breakfast and pint, then head over to the train station and jump a train to sunderland (its less than a £5 and takes 20 minutes).
we will hit a few bars in sunderland and get the beer and rugby craic flowing.
what time we head back and what we do then is still to be decided.
anyway just spread the word because this has always been a big date in our social calender and i for one wont be breaking with tradition

i thought the do this year was going to be on the saturday after the stockport game bit of a nightmare for those unlucky enough to be at work on the monday

The Saturday night is the main club Xmas party. Obviously we'd like to see as many players there as possible . We need the dosh!

the olny problem with sunderland is that it is full of people from sunderland

did seem a bit odd because the photos showing the lads in drag have been posted above the message board for a good few weeks now.

saturday night & boxing day for me unfortunatly

well it has been a sunday for the last however many years. the saturday is the club christmas party to which everyone involved at the club is welcome to attend, with partners if you wish.
sunday is a players drinking session and always a scream.
smurray, we will end up at the club later on as we do every year. we have, for the last few years met around 11-12 oclock down town and headed up the club early evening which will not change.
got to say i'm a bit disappointed with the response on here (although those i've spoke to in person have all said yes). it is a day on the piss that all players are invited to, i would find it odd to say least if people dont want to!
what is better than getting smashed with your team mates until people start pissing and shitting themselves!!!!!!!!!!!!!

to those in the know this party and day on the piss has been on a sunday for the last 8 years from when stabs and stewy whitehead and gregger used to coach the team. and the reason we start at the town is because when it first started we diddnt have a club to go to and jimmy parko was always kind enough to put us up. also when we did have a club to eventually have our sunday session we found that it was always booked out for another party and that the minis and there parents wouldnt appreciate 2 rippers taking there gear off in the middle of the club/ but as oldge stated we always go to the club on the aternoon when it is quiet so we dont upset anyone with our behaviour.

fair point mate. anyway those available just get yourselves there as i can guarantee it will be a really good laugh

last year the players all met at the club at four for their annual festivities which took place in the function room. all the mini's and juniors parties are out of the way the weekend before. so i agree with smurray and i'll be very dissappointed not to see you all on the 21st. if your all gonna be going on your outing out of town can't guarantee the club will be open when you get back, its been quiet on a sunday so its been closed for half five:-!

i know what you are getting at lynn and we will be there at some point. the reason we are heading out of town is that we fancied a change of scenary and to be fair people will be supporting the club on the saturday night and boxing day, we also drink in the club every week! i really dont think it is right to suggest some kind of disloyalty just because we fancy going somewhere else for a few pints!

lynn i will try and organise a time for which we will be back so that you know what is going on but i imagine it will be about 6ish

i wasnt aware that the players were intending to come to the club xmas party on the 20th but if thats the case fine , just thought it was odd that the players xmas party was going to be somewhere else. just keep me informed of the plans cos i'm always last to no. don't fancy you lot turning up and not having enough staff. SO DON'T FORGET THEN TO GET YOUR TICKETS FOR THE 20TH

My lad is at 6th form and he reckons will be plenty there as being touted as a Xmas bash!!! Fingers crossed there with be hundreds there!
