As part of the 2nd team management I stand by my previous post which apart from my own obvious bias suggest we are not taking anything apart from the stags ams result for granted.

So who exactly is this mythical they you speak of impartial observer.

I also said good luck to Seaton for the Pyman after Saturday's game where the better side won.

Gerry, how on earth can you say the Stags are a ''lower level''??? Your words not mine. Now if you sit back and think about it at present West as a club are 2 whole divisions above Rovers so that sort of blows your comments out of the water!!

impartial observer you can't have seen much rugby then and deffo not been to watch the stags because we have played some outstanding rugby this year, you just need to look at the Candy leauge for evidence beating tynedale and have a good chance of winning the leauge and belive we have a good chance of doing well in the pyman this year.

its obvious the final will be a horden stags final. the improvements in both teams has been massive since their introduction into the candy league, and i believe this will be seen in the standard of the final compared to last year. with west though winning by a greater margin than last year.

The entry level for first teams is Level 9, so any team playing above Durham Northumberland 3 has to play there 2nd team.

Are Seaton playing their First XV? Old Boys were in Durham North 3 last year and still fielded their 2nd Team!

It is a 2nd XV tournement afterall. Therefore were teams have a 2nd XV I think they should take priority.

Thanks Dave that clears it up. Really do think seaton will take some beating as they have won every single league game this season!

We played them last week and found them to be a very committed, streetwise team but by no means unbeatable.

They get away with a lot at the breakdown by getting there first in numbers.

They were a good experience for Rovers because we were having an off day and didn't perform to the intensity required in the first half and found ourselves on the wrong end of 3 tries.

We then started committing to the breakdown and the ref pretty much penalised Seaton out of the game while we were getting there. Unfortunately we ran out of steam fitness wise as Seaton defended well and Seaton, very deservedly snuck in a couple of tries as we took more risks to try and get a 2nd score.

They should quite rightly be included in the favourites list but by no means automatic winners.

Fair comment. Surely they will comfortably beat BBOB though! No disrespect intended

We (Seaton) played BBOB two weeks ago in teh league which was counted as a double header for the Pyman cup due to the lack of available weeks to play remaining league and cup matches. We won 77 - 7.
