Its no longer a big deal for Westies to play for Falcons 7s - Laycock, Young, and now Myers.
Anyway I didnt find out until Friday and I have been nowhere near a computer for days!

Can't beleive the comment its no longer a big deal. It would mean a big deal to me if I was selected to play for a falcons team. I'd like to say well done to myers for being selected to play for Falcons even if some of your clubs members don't appreciate it. Its not like you are representing West Hartlepool and getting their name mentioned in big rugby circles. How many playes have west had playing for them in the last 10 years that have gone on to play for falcons. You named 3. I think 3 is not a large enough number to be blaze about.

I agree with you Air Guitar - in future we need to do arrange a Blazing Saddles type brass band (the Sheriff is "near" style) then have a civic reception in the White House Pub.

Trust me - every one is over the moon for Aaron and because we don't paste is across a message board does not mean we don't care.

Little ironic FRLE - we all remember Jigser's n Co's frosty welcome on your web site.

Why should a big deal be made of it?

Everyone at west knows he is a great player with a big future, His family a all Westies and they know and so does Aaron we all wish him well.

and if we did make a big deal we'd get accused of blowing our own trumpets.

Win win situation. Not.

Didn't Gareth's elder brother Ben also play with falcons for a while?
