Tragic. Can I have my £3 back because as far as I could see it was a no contest. Billingham didn't have to beak sweat.

I'm sorry but from what i seen if billingham didnt have their number 12 they would be nothing. Most of the game rovers were in control but just not able to cross the line. Billingham constantly missed touch, nocked on etc. They got a break away try and then a well worked try. I do honestly think they will struggle next year.

Rovers did seem to be the better team but well done to billingham for withstanding rovers pressure and coming out on top

Have you seen the bitterness on the Darkside's web site. No one is talking about the team performance / game - they are now moaning about our showers.

What next - the traffic lights at the top of Park Road, the price of pork pies, the number of Chavs in the town on Saturday afternoon, Wesley being closed, the price of pickled tripe (any more whilst we are on the subject) etc.

Face facts - its your own fault you have been relegated and its your own fault you lost the cup final. ITS NOT WEST'S FAULT.

Ha Ha - my side is splitting with laughter with the dire situation Rovers are in.

PS - HA HA HA

Not as bad as the situation use were in a couple of years back, 1 bad season doesn't mean a free fall, just as 1 good season doesn't mean your on your way back to the national leagues. Be careful how loud you shout, lets see what next season brings. :oP:oP:oP

On reading again, my post does seem a little tetchy but it is certainly not a dig at West.

West can only make available the facilities they have, facilities which are getting better all the time.

Just think based on the fact that the gate receipt go to the county that it would be more prudent, for a game played in April, fot it to be played at a ground with some hard standing and flood lights. Durham City, Stockton, Old Boys and yes Rovers would all have been a better choice, in my opinion, in order to attract the maximum number of supporters and general rugby enthusiasts.

This has nothing to do with the result, I actual thought Bills defence was excellent and the best tean won on the night.

Still sounds tetchy to me.
Durham City - a good stand but muddy pitch and muddy surrounds and a bit of a hike to get to for Rovers and Billingham through the rush hour.
Stockton - what's the difference with West as they have a small stand a muddy standing and a long long walk from the shared clubhouse
Old Boys - bit of hard standing but bad car parking and no covered accommodation at all
Rovers - well it had to be a neutral venue didn't it!

Funny how the only comments form the winning side have been complimentary.

No wonder Rovers cant win anything theyre soft as you know what. Since when was the Friarage special? The dressing rooms arent up to much and the bogs stink and the pitch is always flooded when they have to play us

Quote Maxx - "your showers need immediate attention for basic health and hygiene reasons"

Whats wrong with the health and hygiene of the showers? They may be dated, but the showers and shower area is cleaned thoroughly several times each week?

Most of the Rovers are great lads and good mates with all of us but you have to worry about those who spend their time complaining about showers when they've just had a terrible season on the pitch and cant even get their own 7s tournament organised.

if the showers are so bad, how come it hasn'e been mentioned before by rovers? they played at brinkburn 3 weeks ago!!

the floodlight situation is a fair comment but it's nowt to do with west - the county decided the venue. I was similarly surprised at the choice of Tech for the Pyman final, but no matter how dark it gets, its the same for both teams.
