Congratulations on your deserved promotion
As you can imagine there are some of us anxious to make sure you keep up your excellent record this weekend and I am sure a club with a great tradition like yours will be selecting your strongest and giving it your best in the interests of fair play.

As Tim has said in an earlier post the lads want to win the league on points not on points difference ;-)

Old Croc you might be relieved to know that our second team is better than our first team seeing as how we beat them a couple of weeks ago so whoever we turn out will give Rovers a good game

It could also be my last game for the club the last thing I want is a loss, so i`ll be trying just as hard, as normal.
I would concentrate on winning your game first.

I have no doubt that West will do the right thing.
PS Can you believe Rovers? Their biggest game for years coming up and all they are going on about is the Pyman Cup game.

You lot are a bit quick to take offence. Non intended.
I am trying to make the point that on paper both West and Driffield should win their games. I think it only fair that both clubs treat their games as if it were their first game of the season and not the last.

I find the very suggestion that West Hartlepool RFC would even consider throwing a game both ludicrous and insulting in the extreme.
Why would I - or anybody else at the club - feel a need to apologise for having that view?
