looking after your own

About 13 years ago when West were somewhat in dissaray a lot of good young players left due to limited opportunity within the West structure.Players such as, Scott Miller,Bob Green,Jamie Marshall,Peter Ramsay and Andrew Menzies. These along with others signed for Athletic and at that time saved us from going under. For one reason or another these lads have since been lost to the game except Andrew who although injured is still a part of our squad. He is still treat with a respect and common decency that any player should be. My point being is that 13 years ago Broken Army stayed loyal to West and should be treat with respect and not tossed aside like a broken toy,he was one who helped the Ams to flourish and should be treat as the equal to any other West man, before he too is lost to your club

Quinny not saying the Ams have but perhaps some of the upper echelon holding the umbrella you are now under may feel differently.I know BA and know how riled he is about this.

I am reluctant to join this debate but can someone explain to me what on earth is motivating Broken Army and bluethru to bombard this site with moaning messages?

I dont know who they are. If they used their real names i might remember them . Frankly there is no point on them having a go at the people who ran our club 13 years ago because as far as I can see hardly any of them are still involved.

WPA I have no affiliation to your club,my affiliation is with the Ath so you wouldnt be able to put a name to a face. You are probably right a lot has changed in 13 years but respect and courtesy to one of your own (as BA is),should be undiminished. And yes I post as Bluethrunthru which isnt my name but then I am sure WPA isnt yours. I am not looking to cause trouble here, just reminding people to look after there own.;-)

Look after your own?

It appears BrokenArmy or whoever he is starts complaining about the physio who gives up 2 nights a week unpaid to treat players and then attends on a Saturday to help out, over something quite frankly minuscule and insignificant. And instead of being a man and discussing it in private, posts his views on here. Very bad form by BrokenArmy, which adds unnecessary tension.

Would BrokenArmy be so attentive and polite had he worked from 8am to 5pm, rushed home, taken care of family matters, then gone back out and repeated his profession for free from 7pm till 9pm? I doubt that very much. And I seriously doubt BrokenArmy ever offers to pay for any evening consultations with Gez at West?

Stag678 I think you will find that BA too has family commitments and that prior to his injury he played on a Saturday and trained when he could.Does anyone offer to pay Gez for his services?

At the end of the day BA is annoyed about the way he was treated. You may feel the same yourself if you had been unable to play for the period BA has been out of the game.Gez may have said what he said jokingly as was stated in an earlier post but three years plus of frustration can get to you.As BA said manners cost nothing and if you had read his original post you would see he had said sorry for not waiting but he had to get home to his family.

As I have said he is a West man and should be treated with the same respect as a first teamer.

Is this a rugby club or a kindergarten?

If anyone feels aggrieved by their treatment by a coach/physio/barmaid/supporter/member or fellow player then why dont they just take it up with them directly.

This isn't the place.

This thread (and the closed thread) is crazy and trying to open old wounds from over a decade ago is very very wrong.

Hillarious! Send the warring factions to stand in the corner, or take away their playtime!

One "alleged" incident and we are all bad people ... crazy ... get a life!
There's no problems at West.
Why are non-Westies on here stirring things up?
If BA has an issue with an individual, it should be taken offline and not discussed on here.
I suggest we just ignore any further comments.
